This quick guide will help you clear the cache on your digital signage play, should you have any issues with your screens updating.
What is a cache?
The cache is a feature that allows you to store your content on your digital signage player, when using the Amazon Fire TV Stick app, or Android app, on their respected devices.
Why use a cache?
Using a cache allows you to continue playing your content without having to worry about your screens going offline should you lose internet connection or have an outage.
Where is it available?
Content will only cache on devices which are playing content via the Amazon Fire TV app or Android app. Web players will not cache content.
Common Issues
If your device is playing outdated or old content, or your screens do not update due to a loss in connection, your cache may need to be cleared.
How to clear the cache
Clearing the cache is very simple.
1. Simply go to the screens tab and find the screen that has the issue.
2. Click on 'Edit Screen'
3. On the top right hand corner, click on the 'Clear Cache' button.
4. Your screens should update.
Your screen should now refresh and updated content will play.
